Now this is a project we really didn’t see coming! The Office has amassed millions of fans across the globe. Starting with the UK version back in 2001, many of us can’t get enough of the sitcom based around a day in the life that many of us a familiar with. When the show hit American soil, it’s popularity exceeded everything. Starring Steve Carell, no one expected The Office US to become a household favorite, even in 2022. Many people have been calling for a revival or reboot. And while this is yet to happen, this news could please fans!
An Australian version of The Office is currently in production, with a number of stars reportedly heading to the sitcom. And there’s a twist with this new show. The next David Brent/ Michael Scott is going to played by a woman! Amazing!
Who could we be seeing?
Casting has started for the series, and we could be seeing a few big names! Rumoured actresses that could be heading to The Office Australia is Magda Szubanski (60), Katrina Milosevic (45) and Rachel Griffiths (53). Isla Fisher (46) has also reportedly been approached to star in the new sitcom but has not yet signed onto the project.
There isn’t much more information surrounding the new show. Many fans are hoping for a long series, similar to the American sitcom that ran for 9 seasons from 2005 to 2013. The remake is coming to Amazon Prime Video, which means it can be viewed around the world. What do you think about the reboot?
